Diary Anne Frank review.
The story of Anne Frank was really touching and sad. Anne lived during one of the worst periods of history wich was when Adolf Hitler wanted to take over the world and get rid of Jewish people and others. Anne barely understood what was happening like why she had to have a star, why she had to get her Jewish registration, or why she couldn't talk to her friend. Before she went into hiding she got her diary that her dad bought for her. She then went into hiding with another Jewish family at an upstairs room of a Dutch family. Anne then wrote in her diary of evrything that was happening. They were soon discoverd and were sent to a camp. After they were sent to a camp they were sent to a death camp called Auschwitz and the family was seperated. Anne Frank miraculously didn't die from the Nazi, but she did die from a sickness. This was a hart breaking story that can make you cry.
The Contender book review.
The Contender is another book that I liked. The Contender was writen by Robert Lipsyte. The Contender has some similarities to the book Homeboyz. Those similarities are there is drugs, police, fights, arguements, jail, and stealing. In this book there's a 17 year old kid named Alfred Brooks and he's having problems with his best friend James. Alfred is also becoming a boxer, he trains every day unless he has an upcoming match. Then he also has to deal with work at a grocery store with the Epstines. so alfred is jugleing all these things from losing his best friend, to boxing, and work. Alfred is still learning a lot of things like his best friend only cares about drugs not Alfred. This a really exciting book that you will enjoy. You will definitely enjoy those boxing matches when you're thinking who is going to win Alfred or the contender.
What happen between the Anderson family through out the book?
Through out the book there was up's and down's with the Andersons. In the beginning of the book the Anderson's were a regular family that lived in a bad neighborhood. There was also regular brother and sister disputes that happen. When Tina died the whole Anderson family started to brake apart. Barely anyone talked in the house and Teddy was soon going to juvy. When Teddy got back from juvy nobody wanted to deal with him, they all ignored Teddy. Teddy really didn't care if no one wanted to talk to him he just wanted to get on the computer. There was a part in the book when Te-ay started arguing with Teddy because he was on the computer. Both Te-ay and Teddy were so loud that they woke up every one in the house which were Andrew, Dad, and Mom. Teddy then threw a punch at Andrew and they started fighting, there dad tried to stop the fight but he couldn't, Mrs. Anderson some how stoped it by just standing outside her bedroom. At the end everyone was back together like a happy family, the Anderson's didn't divorce, they added Micah to there family, and they got a brand new house in a nice neighborhood.

Why and how did Micah risk his life for Teddy's need's?
Micah risked his life by trying to get in the serpents gang. Micah had to get jumped in so he could be in the gang, but the worst part was he had to go one on one with So-ceo. So-ceo was a big, buff, hispanic that beat on Micah so bad that he sent him to the hospital for three days. Micah had broken ribs and a badly brused face that was really swollen. Micah went through all that pain for Teddy. The reason why Micah went through all that pain was because he looked at Teddy as a big brother. Teddy would bring Micah burger king, he will help him do homework, or bring him to the library.Teddy also brought Micah home on tuesday and called it Micah tuesday, they had a great dinner cooked by Mrs. Anderson. So you can see why Micah looks up to Teddy as a brother and why he look the risk. The good part of Micah being in the gang is that he found Teddy's killer fast, he was in the same gang as Micah. The surprising part was that Micah didn't join the gang because his cousin was in it and told him to he did it for Teddy they both had a strong bond.
What is the theme of the book?
I think the theme of the book is that reveange is not the answer to your problem. In the book Teddy kept looking for reveange and that just lead him to more problems. Teddy thought he had solved the mystery killer, but instead he got caught by the police and got in more trouble. When Teddy got the real killer in his car he was about to kill him but he didn't, the killer killed himself because his baby died. From there Teddy learned that reveange is not the answer. Teddy instead of getting reveange by killing someone he should of got only information and gave it to a specialist so that he would get in trouble.

How did Tina's death affect Teddy an why?
Tina's death affected Teddy by him wanting to get reveange. Teddy would see her lotion all over the place in his car, in the kitchen, near the computer, and inside everyones room, everytime he saw the lotion anger will build up inside him and he wanted to just do the same to the killer. It also affected Teddy when he saw the sadness in his family. I think that with Tina's death Teddy had gotten tougher and meaner, he would say that he would make Tina's killers' family suffer more than the Anderson. The main reason why Tina's death affected Teddy is that it's his own sister, his blood. I can connect with Teddy on the feeling of loseing someone in the family because I lost a cousin and I cried. I would also be very mad if I were to lose my sister or brother, but I wouldn't be as brave as Teddy and get reveange I would just cry. In the book Teddy remembered when Tina before going to sleep she would leave Teddy a sandwich to eat. No one else would make Teddy a sandwich not even his mom, that really hurt Teddy because he could see how much Tina loved and cared for him. Lastly, Teddy still has Tina's smile in his head from everytime that Teddy would pick Tina up in his car.

What was Teddy good at and how?
Teddy was good at hacking computers, getting into private information in the computer, and stealing money from certain hacks. Ever since he was in high school he will hack the school computer to get his grades higher. Teachers soon found out when they saw a test grade that was better than most students that studdy and do their work. He then wanted to drop out of school after a while. Another way I can tell that Teddy is good hacker is when he got home from juvie he already had a plan on how to hack another school computer. Teddy then did some research and went to his old high school, he had a disk that let him hack the principle's computer with out leaving a trace unlike the other hacks he did. Teddy got an excuse so he could use the principle's computer and hack it by putting so major things on his hacking disck. So he continued with his hack and stole a bunch of money from the school. It was also good that Teddy hacked the computer because he got info about his sisters' killer. The surprising part is that he didn't get caught by the police at all.

What is your favorite event in the book and why?
My favorite event in Homeboyz is when Teddy finds out who his sisters' killer is. When I read the part where Micah told Teddy who is killer was I got really excited. In my mind I was thinking this book is getting better and better, also that something crazy was bound to happen. I actually predicted right when I said something crazy was going to, because Teddy found out a plan on how to get the killer to a junk yard and kill him, but that wasn't the crazy part. The crazy part was that Teddy didn't even kill the killer he felt bad for the killers baby even though Teddy had a brand new gat to the killers head. I like books and movies with plots that are suspensive just like Homeboyz, getting you so tense and wanting to know what will happen next. Another reason why Teddy finding his killer is my favorite event is that he tried and never quit making him able to succeed. I learned two things from this important event and they are that if you try and try you will be successful, the other thing I learned is sometimes you have to be forgive-full even if you have a grudge.

who is your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is Teddy Anderson. He's my favorite character because he is strong and brave, but he also has a soft and forgiving side. I think that strong and brave people just like Teddy are cool, I want to be like them and show off my muscles, have people respect me, and also help people. Teddy was brave enough to go to three gang members and beat them up because he thought they killed his sister Tina. That part of the book really showed me how strong teddy was. When Teddy got caught by the police he went to the toughest juvenile prison in South California he also beat up people there that tried to beat him up. Teddy also showed a lot of toughness and braveness going to gang territory and fighting the gang leader from the serpents called Eeivil. Teddy's soft side comes in when he knows Micah, but they always fought when they first met. When Micah and Teddy knew each well Teddy would get Micah Burger King. Teddy also was nice enough to bring Micah over for dinner and then bring Micah back to his home. The last thing I like about Teddy is that he forgave his sisters' real killer because the killer was about to have a baby and Teddy didn't want the baby to have no father and suffer.

introduction
The title of my book is Homeboyz by Alan Lawrence Sitomer. This is a very good book that I enjoyed and that other people will to. Homeboyz had exciting and interesting parts but then some were sad and unbelievable things that you would never think of happening. In the book there will be people dyeing also suffering from pain making it very devastating for families in Homeboyz. There is also a lot of bad language and actions in this book like 13 year old kids having sex and doing drugs. Most of the deaths in this book are because of gang violence and also deaths from R.P., R.T. which in the book it means wrong place wrong time. Another obvious thing in the book is if there is gangs there is people in jail, but not all gang members in this book will be in jail. So that was a little taste of the book Homeboyz if you want to know more you should either get the book or keep on reading me blog.
