Diary Anne Frank review.
The story of Anne Frank was really touching and sad. Anne lived during one of the worst periods of history wich was when Adolf Hitler wanted to take over the world and get rid of Jewish people and others. Anne barely understood what was happening like why she had to have a star, why she had to get her Jewish registration, or why she couldn't talk to her friend. Before she went into hiding she got her diary that her dad bought for her. She then went into hiding with another Jewish family at an upstairs room of a Dutch family. Anne then wrote in her diary of evrything that was happening. They were soon discoverd and were sent to a camp. After they were sent to a camp they were sent to a death camp called Auschwitz and the family was seperated. Anne Frank miraculously didn't die from the Nazi, but she did die from a sickness. This was a hart breaking story that can make you cry.
The Contender book review.
The Contender is another book that I liked. The Contender was writen by Robert Lipsyte. The Contender has some similarities to the book Homeboyz. Those similarities are there is drugs, police, fights, arguements, jail, and stealing. In this book there's a 17 year old kid named Alfred Brooks and he's having problems with his best friend James. Alfred is also becoming a boxer, he trains every day unless he has an upcoming match. Then he also has to deal with work at a grocery store with the Epstines. so alfred is jugleing all these things from losing his best friend, to boxing, and work. Alfred is still learning a lot of things like his best friend only cares about drugs not Alfred. This a really exciting book that you will enjoy. You will definitely enjoy those boxing matches when you're thinking who is going to win Alfred or the contender.
What happen between the Anderson family through out the book?
Through out the book there was up's and down's with the Andersons. In the beginning of the book the Anderson's were a regular family that lived in a bad neighborhood. There was also regular brother and sister disputes that happen. When Tina died the whole Anderson family started to brake apart. Barely anyone talked in the house and Teddy was soon going to juvy. When Teddy got back from juvy nobody wanted to deal with him, they all ignored Teddy. Teddy really didn't care if no one wanted to talk to him he just wanted to get on the computer. There was a part in the book when Te-ay started arguing with Teddy because he was on the computer. Both Te-ay and Teddy were so loud that they woke up every one in the house which were Andrew, Dad, and Mom. Teddy then threw a punch at Andrew and they started fighting, there dad tried to stop the fight but he couldn't, Mrs. Anderson some how stoped it by just standing outside her bedroom. At the end everyone was back together like a happy family, the Anderson's didn't divorce, they added Micah to there family, and they got a brand new house in a nice neighborhood.
